Water conservation and demand management are the processes which promote the coordinated development and management of water, land and related resources. The objectives of these processes are to maximize economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems. These objectives can be achieved through various interventions, such as: water policies, water safety plans, drought management, leakage management, as well as strategies and business plans to reduce non-revenue water.
